ImproveCareNow, an established network of 36 gastroenterology care centers and professionals nationwide specializing in pediatric Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis, will launch their new blog, LOOP – on May 19th – World IBD Day. ImproveCareNow is using their voice to raise awareness about IBD and about improving care and outcomes for kids who are living with these chronic illnesses.

Since ImproveCareNow began, the percentage of kids in remission (feeling well, no symptoms, fully active) has increased from 50% to over 75%, without any new drugs. Their goal is to deliver the ImproveCareNow standard of care to all kids in the US with IBD; to help 10,000 feel well instead of sick.

“Forming an active, open learning community that is focused on data produces improvements in outcomes, as much as or more than a new drug. What if all kids could be part of a network like this?  More than 10,000 would be in remission today,” says Peter Margolis, MD, PhD – Principal Investigator for the C3N Project, and Scientific Director for the ImproveCareNow Network.
